My First Wedding
I'm still in shock that the bride and groom reached out to me to photograph their special day...me! I'll be honest, my first response was "absolutely NOT!" and then she convinced me (and so did my husband). It was definitely an experience as the sole photographer (in addition to also being the hairstylist). I learned so much this day!
Being the sole photographer is extremely challenging especially because I love to try and capture it all! I realize now having a second shooter can be very helpful. Committing to both hairstyling and photography is probably not the ideal. This make is a really long day! I acknowledged that I have the capacity to grow with wedding photography and considering second shooting for more experience. and lastly...what I've always known...is how much I love candids!
All in all, it's something I'm thankful I had the opportunity to do. If there's one thing about me is that I'm really honest with my clients, especially regarding my skill level on projects I've never had the opportunity to take on. Thank you to the bride and groom for trusting me!
